Very nice still life image well framed with the curtain. Both versions are nice but my personal preference goes to the b&w one. Beautiful shot, Michele!

Hello Michele.

You can add my vote to the coloured column as well. I think because of the soft lighting and understated colours this photo has some of the appeal of a sepia photo already. Composition wise, the vase on the window ledge really completes this picture for me, but I'm not really sure why!

Jason.

My favorite in the series so far! Definitely love the color best, although the B&W and sepia are both nice.:) 7/7

Michele:
Not a question in my mind! Color. LOVE the natural framing and the warm / cool color balance in the shot. Excellent work grasshopper!!! Centered image . . . an exception to the "rule" is spot-on perfect for this one. I sense grain(?) to a tad bit of distraction . . . Wonder what the ISO setting was. If you lose the color - even for sepia - the image gets too flat. Brilliant creativity . . . and wonderful detail. You get a 7 from me despite the grain because you violated the rule of thirds when it SHOULD have been and that shows GREAT instinct growing; not to mention the whole idea is remarkable.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Thanks Dave.....I hate to break the news to you but there are no blue blinds:((

Actually the peachy tone of the curtains comes from the light reflection in the mirrors and the white blind you can't see un-less you are here in person...
What you think is blue blinds is the green trees outside the window- go ahead You deseve to light up another cig....:((

Best wishes,
M~

I'm glad I made you laugh, Michele. Now that I see it in sepia, I think I prefer the vivid contrast in the color version. Hope I haven't spun you around too much.

I think I'm still stuck at granny's house, so I'd like to see it in sepia -- my grandmother was partial to lace curtains.

Interesting series, Michele, very inventive.
