From the point of coloring and sharpness I am stunned, Dave! Very vivid, very tangible! All those tiny details make it so real.
The composition... well perhaps a bit more diagonal? Though I know that ladybugs and any other bugs won't stay there until we decide about the best possible composition. So, I think a very direct depiction of nature!

I might look into them. The macro setting on it's own is not bad, but this is much closer than you can get with just the fixed lens.

Hi Andre, thanks for the comment! Yes the closeup lens is an add-on that screws onto the lens hood. They come in sets of three, #1,#2 and #4. I don't know why there's not a #3! You can use them individually or stacked.

Excellent macro Dave, I like that bug... it is the most sweet and cute bug hahaha... you get it very closed my friend and as I know with a compact camera you really must be closed to it BUT you was slowly in motions and so you don't makes it go away... excellent shot.
