Very nice use of HDR to light the tower. I think maybe the horizon line could use a bit more light and contrast to separate the sky from the land. Not very much so as to not pull attention away from your subject.
Good image,well made.

Hi Megan, Thanks for you critique. As you can see I shot this using a wide angle lens. One of the things I like about the lens is that it's quite easy to get the great sweeping sky's behind whatever you have in the foreground . I used several exposures of the same shot together wit HDR and PS to produce the final image, that is why in the final image the castle looks well lit. On the day I took the picture the lighting was actually dull and flat but I could see the potential for some digital tweaking.

Mark,
Bit small for a castle isn't it? lol. No seriously what a great shot. I like the composition, but I think for me, the sky is what makes this shot. The foreboding gray clouds that look like they are rushing behind the castle, and the white misty background, give this shot a eerie mood. Also the castle is really well lit considering how dark the sky looks. Great job.
Megan.

Very nice work Mark, I can't find anything to critique with this shot, it's that good. Congrats. Looks like you got a good copy of the 10-22. Cheers.
