About This giant redwood tree has sustained several lightning hits which has caused fire to burn much of the interior of this tree. Even so, this giant has been able to withstand the wind and time. Yet there are other trees without this kind of damage that storms have blown over and lay rotting on the ground. Due to tree cutting for the lumber mills, there is only about 10% of these old growth trees that survive on land that has been set aside for future generations.

I think this must be The Spirit of the Forest and this is why it survives!!!I wonder if it feels pains for all its damages (?!)
