Wow! Even the thumnail blew me away; well, that's what brought me in for a closer look, and I'm even more impressed. The colours are intensely beautiful. I also have to laugh because the three tents look like three of Apple's original fruity iMacs that have fallen face down in the snow ;)
Photographically yours,
Tad

What magic! It is amazing to see this, and part of the magic is that we are looking at not a moment, but 10 hours in time. Beautiful. As I was reaching to place this in favorites, I noticed the highest count there I've seen so far. Congrats! :) T.

thank you!

thank you :-)))
Ben: the Zenit has a mechanical shutter that needs no battery to operate. the same applies to Nikon FM2 (and a few other models no longer produced). with every other camera the length of your exposure depends on the duration of the batteries, and it's usually limited ;-)

Hi Kostas, In your comment you mentioned that not many camera can take long exposure that long, do you mean battery life or the lens from fogging up in cold temperature? I have never opened my camera shutter for more than 5 mins. So please advice. Beautiful shot btw! Cheers, Ben

I was lucky that found your graet PIc in the main page today. it invites me to visit your perfect shots with good skill in using long exposure times. so magic and dreamy atmosphere you have created here, it is also valuable when i knew it captured with the camera" Zenith". very good composition and exellent use of background, the contrast of night is wonderful/ i would glad if you see my shots.

thank you Jim. the film color shift because of the long exposure couldn't be avoided at shutter time but it was easy to correct using software afterwards. i have uploaded this same image again about a month ago,in a slightly different version that you may also like :-)
