I think that was it! That increase of brightness introduced the lowering of sharpness/contrast on the B&W.
And BTW, can you just shoot a B&W by only using the camera? (I mean with no need to alter it later on.)

A good scene for a photo with much sense of a human story that takes place on the street and in the thoughts of the protagonist.
This time I think that the color version has more sharpness - it feels much more real than the B&W which somehow went too soft and hides too many details.
BTW, how did you converted it to B&W? With PS? And did you also used any correction?

l'unico scrupolo che mi pongo e quello di fotografare queste situazioni nel modo più anonimo possibile senza che il soggetto sia riconoscibile, ma sono parte della nostra quotidianità e non serve a niente ed a nessuno far finta che non ci siano...

A volte questi sportelli automatici danno la sensazione di fornire aiuto, felicita', di colmare un vuoto, che il piu' delle volte e' effimero, momentaneo. Certo i soldi dervono, ma non fanno la felicita', mi sembra una bella e reale metafora, l'uomo seduto che si massaggia il polpaccio trova la comodita' di sedersi di fronte allo sportello automatico, forse cio' gli procurato un po' di sollievo, momentaneo, come succede a chi preleva il denaro.
Molto intensa.
Bravo.
