Michele! I DO like this and I think it has some real potential too. The hat cut doesn't really bother me that much but the vertical line on the right does. Also . . . the space would be better in front of and not behind him (IMO). A thin black border would make the cropped hat seem less distracting. Naturally, I've attached an example. :)

ho ho ho....but after the sceleton on the hut and everything else, again he looks peacefull guy...lol...
even a doll it's a portrait, a face that surely you don't see every day and so a great photo my friend, sepia adds here...works well as you present something of the past.

Dear Michele,
I like your composition very much. You almost cut off the "scary" part ! :))
The cobweb on the statue makes a strong statement of its being old and "forgotten". The sepia tone is another element that conveys this.
