The blurred background really makes the flowers stand out and makes a nice backdrop for the flowers. Lavender is one of my favorite colors. Del.

Again your excellent definition of the object of the macro, Dave. But this time I have the impression that the lighting is a bit too strong, especially at the upper part. The flowers seem a bit "obscured" by light itself. Their contours and details are still very nice to look at, but after some seconds of looking a strange kind of "tiredness of the eye" starts preventing me from looking further, and so I have to make a break and look again some seconds later. This prevents me from just being absorbed in the image, which your macros in the last few days managed to do perfectly.

A very good image still - only that kind of too strong lightis a bit frustrating.

Best wishes,

Nick

Excellent Dave. Nice composition and fantastic DOF. Must have looked really pretty. If i could make one suggestion, it would be to cut EV back just a stop or 2 on bright days where there is sun glare on the petals. Just a thought and i am being picky here cause it really is a nice pic. Cheers Keith
