yea, that is nice, that is very nice Paolo, superb lines and shapes and the face at the middle of...nothing!!! SUPERB! I love that originality and I believe the couse of the awardS is that originality that we so miss from the "today" photos...

This is really deserving of the award, I have been looking at this photo and always it makes me wonder how you've come up with this compsoition of lines and different tones. you've mastered giving a twist to an ordinary scene and come up with a differnt fantatic composition.

Congrats on the awards for this one Paolo!
I think it is the contrast in subject matter that makes this on stand out so well. We just don't expect a lovely smile amongst all that industrial concrete.

Paolo -- Wonderful use of simple black and white tones and a beautifully balanced composition. The hint of humanity surrounded by the massive white & grey spaces creates a focus on the face yet implies how minimal the human is compared to the surroundings. The subject is smiling which is quirky and engaging. Bravo for such a fine combination of a portrait and the abstract.
