Then I can be a bit glad if the image captured that special light, Mary. Thank you for telling me that.
It is that rather strange light that makes many things look like being summer, but... not really being summer, you know. Many times that light turns to be almost "uncapturable" - if the word is allowed here - and so of course it brings the wish to capture it at last! ;-)

No, Nick, you did not mess up. Warm summer days don't have to be cloudless and sunny. I find that a warm rain in the Summer is an enjoyable thing, also. It seems to leave things nice and fresh. This captures that feeling well.

However, if it looks like a reminder of a warm summer day, then I'm afraid that I messed it up. It has been a rainy summer day under clouds and it was exactly that atmosphere and that light that I wanted to get. I'll have to exercise more in that direction.

Very pretty. The rich colours are eye catching. The blue flowers are lovely. It is a wonderful reminder of a warm summer day.
