If there had only been a bit more contrast of detail on the face of the man! The rest of the image has such strong contrasts of light and shadow and also good details, but the face of the man could need a bit more.
I guess it was the result of balancing between the highlight behind him (his hat is already overexposed) and the shadow on his face? If this has been the case, then perhaps giving more weight to the shadows while metering light, could result into an image on which the column behind the man is completely overexposed but his face is more strongly depicted?

you can't compare this one to the first.the pose here is very good but the compo :( .why put him in the center and if you decide to leave him in the center crop it verticaly to conceal all the parts that add nothing to the overall
