Excellent macro Robin, a good placement into the frame however you also use a very original point of view...from the top of the plant, so only that rich the focal area and the result is perfect!!!

Fascinating image. I really like the variations in the background. The plant looks like a fireworks burst. Your presentation with the shaded inner frame is very effective.

As far as the artsy-fartsy frame goes...well no, frankly I wasn't sure...just figured out how to create something like that and decided to give it a try. Perhaps I'll repost...of course using your elbow to the ribs, subtle hint as inspiration!

Great shot Robin! I like the glow and intesity of the golden tones. I don't mind the "artsy" frame, I find it contemporary. Although I have a feeling you might have experimented with others. Congrats!

Ok . . . anyway . . . I love it! I had to pause to make sure it wasn't a Lensbaby shot before I continued!! You know you rocked in a completely stunning DOF!
. . . but . . . that framing? Are you sure?? Now listen up . . . when your shot is THIS fricken' good, why on God's Green Earth would you do that artsy-fartsy framing and distract any attention from the real star of this show?? LoL! No . . . really . . . this shot should be showcased appropriately with a 1 to 2 . . . oh . . . never mind! Top notch photography though!
