Trying to enhance the washed out blue-green tones of some of the more special regions of Lake Zurich by overexposing. Any comments would be very welcome.
I wouldn't insist at all, Andre, in saying that the natural haze is better visible this way, simply because I do have my problems with this (and some more of this series) too. I also find such images rather washed out.
The goal that I was chasing was to somehow get the rather blue-grey-ish tones of some winter days, but I don't know if this is only because of the haze. Or is it? Anyway, I didn't find any adequate method until now. I only had some results, like this one, that look "different" in a way, perhaps close to that look when all seems to be blue-ish but not really the same. Do you have any ideas for that?
Hi Nick, I'm not sure if I like the idea of over exposing in this case. As you know, I personally prefer the darker, richer landscapes most of the time. I like images that have many layers of intrese like this one, but I think the over exposure takes away from the detail of the background scene. Having said that, I know you will probably insist that the over exposure makes the image look more like a natural hazy scene. You may be right :) Andre
