I think this is a really strong composition with a great combination of textures in the sand and sky. I agree that more detail could be seen in the old piers. However, I do like the mood very much. Regards, Debra

Hi, I've admired you work for a while. You've good eye. This image is interesting. The distant, ideal hills beautifully lite contrasted (threatened?) by the pier remnants make for some mystery. They look a little like Stonehenge. The pairing in the front left even seems to have eyes. But, I am finding the tonal range and lack of detail on the foreground elements distracting. Maybe you could use a little fill flash. Can you get close enough for it to work? This is still an intriguing image.
