About I think that the darker region at the top left is rather irritating, but the rest of it was OK enough to me for posting. I'd be very glad for any comments.

Thank you very very much for the explanation, Gustavo. I think too that the selective lighting helped that. I must try some more with a closer zoom and the same light, and see what I get.

All the best,

Nick

Me gusta la región oscura, casi como una viñeta, porque enfatiza al sujeto y enfoca la mirada.

Me gustan mucho las viñetas!

Un abrazo!

Thank you very much, Dave!

So let's crop again! And it's true, a tighter crop plus some small amount of (rather raw) cloning did help! Which tells me: a closer zoom was the medicine for this one at shooting time.

Best wishes,

Nick

Tight crop after Dave's suggestion - plus a bit of cloning

Many many thanks again, for the enthusiastic comment, Gustavo!

Could it not be better by omitting the darker region?

Cheers,

Nick

A very nicely done macro, Nick! The dark area could be reduced by some cropping and that would help the centralized composition, too. The colour and details are very good though.
