Sorry for my late reply dear Minoo or should I say Leo;-)) I agree with you that there are many different reasons why we act as we do and the way we influence children that are indeed so open and believe almost anything that is being told with an amount of authority. I probably also make mistakes that I´m not conscious about, but I really try to think about what I say and do in order to bring up Anna Sophie as a caring, happy and curious child that will have a natural respect for her surroundings but not fear anything that is unnecessarily. I only hope to succeed:-) Thanks again for your interesting point of view, dear friend. Warm hugs Annemette

Thank YOU dear Annemette, for your kind compliments. I think it is the Zodiac sign that does it, being a Leo; just kidding, I don't really believe in that sort of thing. I couldn't agree with you more about the way parents treat their chidren. I think I can see part of the psychology behind frightening children. The more the kids are scared of natural phenomena, the less the parents think that the children might put themselves in danger, and therefore the less work for them to take measures for preventing them from risking their "life". Or, parents they do this without being conscious about what they do; they just repeat what had been done to them without giving it a second thought. There is also a question of control. Parents already have an enormous amount of power over their children as it is, and unfortunately some take advantage of this, perhaps unconsciously so. It requires a huge amount of self-awareness, self-control, understanding and conscious responsibility to try to do the right thing. We are all more or less complicated beings in so many ways, and therefore there cannot be a simple explanation for what we do. well, enough philosophizing and analyzing human psychology. I am not a psychologist, so I'd better not get into that :) Warm hugs to you, Minoo

Thank you for your beautiful words, Minoo. You have a big heart. The spider that we pet carefully on a leg, usually stays in one corner, but we have many spiders in the house. I learn Anna Sophie to respect them, but of course I take some of them away once in a while so we´re not burried in web;) I´m not crazy about spiders myself, but I find it important not to pass on silly fears to my child. I never understand why some parents teach their children to fear water, dogs, spiders, flying etc. instead of making an effort to make them comfortable and giving them a chance they didn´t get themselves. The funny thing is that the more I personalize the spiders the more I also seem to like them myself, so it has a strong impact:-) Enough spidertalk- have a wonderful day:-) Warm hugs Annemette

There are very few people on the face of this universe who have emotional intelligence, and you are one of them. I really admire you. It is wonderful if children are taught to have a peaceful symbiosis with their surroundings. But how can one own a spider. I am really bemused, hearing this:) They usually don't stay at one place. That is the advantage of having a garden, I suppose. Wish you good night, dear friend, Minoo

On the contrary! I love a good laugh:-) When it comes to Anna Sophie then she and I actually have a big spider that we pet on its legs when leaving home in the morning. I personalize them so she doesn´s get afraid of them like many people. She loves all kinds of insects, so my mission is accomplished...until she gets friends that teaches her otherwise. Be well:-)

Please don't. She might have nightmares, seeing herself in such a guise :) well, who knows. Some kids love to look scary to frighten others, but I don't suppose Anna Sophie would be the type. Hope you don't mind my joking mood, Take care, dear Annemette, Minoo

*LOL* Well you know by now that my family suffers from my passion for photography posing in weird ways. I haven´t shown this to Anna Sophie yet - I´m not certain she´ll approve of it...;-)) Thanks dear:-)

Shame on you :) How could you do this to her, the little angel? Had my mother done this to me I would not speak to her anymore. Of course, I am just kidding :)) All that said, I think this is a very strong piece of work, dear Annemette. I am flabbergasted by the impact it has. But please don't do this to Anna Sophie, anymore :)) Hugs, Minoo

Wow... what creative work, Annemette.... and a little bit scary too!! Well done... I love the colors! The bright eyes don't bother me... my eyes are drawn into the light color of the eyes.... they are the focal point of the photo... and what makes it so hauntingly beautiful!
Hugs, Brigitte

But I understand the whiteness (glow) of her eyes, because that is what makes it very scary for me. Great creepy work, dear Annemette!;)

Thank you so much, dear Luis:-) Yes, the eyes could maybe have been darkend- I agree- but not too much as it would ruin my idea of a spooky spidergirl;-) Warm wishes Annemette
