And I guess that less is better most of the time too, Andre!
Thanks a lot for the idea again, that made me see more clearly that simple things are better.
Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick, You did a really nice job on the new version Nick. Of course I'm going to like the re-worked version. I really think it is better. It seems to simplify the scene. In this case, less is better:) Andre

I think that this is also exactly what Andre thinks about this one, Gustavo! And I guess that indeed it is too centered. I altered this one according to this suggestion and indeed it gained much. But I still find the dark depth very interesting.
Cheers and thank you so much for yet anotzher interesting review.

Thank you very much for the nice comment and for the very interesting suggestion, Andre! I tried to follow your suggestion by "backwards engineering" using PS as good as I could. So it seems that this way it gains a more natural look without too much "posing" but still preserving the general mood.
If the flower wouldn't obey the orders of the photographer to not pose, then the photographer might also turn the camera a bit to the left or to the right, I guess! ;-)
Cheers,
Nick

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Olga Melissa. Indeed I rather prefer the not so bright colors most of the time. I find a rich darker color much more interesting, which of course doesn't exclude the opposite all the time.
Best wishes,
Nick

Thanks a lot Ian!
Indeed, it was color and also selective focus I was looking for.

mmmm, esta no me gusta tanto, la maceta detrás molesta un poco y la flor, objeto de la foto, está para mi gusto, muy centrada...

Hi Nick, I think the colours are exposed nicely all round in this one. As far as the composition goes. It is fine too, but maybe if the main flower was just a little more to the right and the closed bud on the right was not there, the composition would be better balanced. It's hard to say though because then if everything is exactly in place, we might complain that it looks too posed :) Andre

although it doesn't pop out of the image, I mean it doesn't have the brightest color , still it is an eye-catching image, with beautiful colors and fine details.

Excellent colour and I like the slightly out of focus background, Nick! Dave.
