Theron, this has the potential of being a great photo. There are a few things I think you'd be able to improve though.
In my opinion you could benefit from framing slightly more to the right. That would exclude the slice of glass ball, which is a bit distracting, and bring the gift closer to an intersection of 1/3 lines.
The on camera flash has also been very harsh on the branches. I was experimenting with the same type of shots myself, and found that around -1 ev flash compensation and using a polarizing filter really helps. If you have a CP, you might want to try that out.
that said, I really like the choice of colours, and the letter under the gift, along with the Tiffa....Co. on the box, suggests a message of love and dedication. Hope she liked the present :)
