Is it eating something?
Not sure I fully understand what is going on in this picture, but you can't deny the wonderful contrasting colours, great focus and great timing to capture the bubble.

All the best,
Ed

Yamil Saenz {K:11390} 2/8/2008 Dear Ed,
Thanks for your comment.
This guy was diving in shallow waters and eating bivalves.
At one point he eated at least 7 to 8 in a period of about 15 minutes.
Regards.

Beautiful capture, Yamil! It's especially interesting with lunch in it's beak!

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your comment.
It's a lot of fun to watch these guys in pursuit of bivalves.
They can catch lots of them and swallow them even before they come out from the water.
Ken and I got lucky to capture this moment after one hour of intense shooting.

Warm Regards.

Yamil

You've done it again Yamil - a moment perfectly captured, with precise focus and great DOF, showing perfect detail. Nicely done!

Thank you my friend.
Ken Phenicie and I got very lucky with this shot because they were swallowing those bivalves in less than 10 seconds.
They have to eat quickly; otherwise gulls will steal it from them.

Best.

Yamil
