Hmmm, Gustavo, you put me into heavy thinking! Yes, darkness was always a thing to be afraid fo in our whole story of evolution. I know, bad things await in darkness, and they always bite! ;-)
But what about our own times? We know that almost the whole universe is a very dark place. Though there are 10000000 photons for each and every baryon around, still the are too few to convert the darkness of the universe to light. And we also know that the Securitas are everywhere in that railway station, and they see eben in darkest darkness - at least here in Switzerland. So, if I am afraid of the dark, and I see ghosts everywhere, what am I then? Am I only the product of my instincts? And where does my mind remain when I am afraid of the dark in the railways station?
I must oivercome my fears, or else the inknown will remain unknown for ever. Much like taking courage to examine what was hidden behind the work of "witches" and "spirits" and "demons", etc. And at the end, it was only chemistry, you know. Much like at the end of the story, the person you see on the image is just another human like me, and like you, and that person just returns home. Full of fears, and perhaps also being afraid of the sound of my steps as my shoes hit the pavement! Then I have to say, hey! I am only Nick! Who are you? Let's go drink a beer or something?
:-), me entendes?
And I simply wonder why most people would simply start talking about their "fantasies" and "mysteries" when I post some image with much of darkness on it. Do we care about photography or do we care more about some kind of imaginary world in our minds? This is only a scene, a very very real one, form a railway station. Nothing more and nothing less, Gustavo.
Menacing? !!!! It was a very very quiet and relaxed scene, Fabio, and so I must be very interested to what you say, since it opens a door to a new space of consideration to me.
