I already had the impression that it was taken from behind the glass of a window of some vehicle, Diego. A bad thing that not all windows can be opened in buses, but still it has preserved the atmosphere/lighting.
Thanks a lot for the info about the conditions at shooting time.

...on sharpness and contrast must say that the photo was performed on a moving bus and the glass half...
this explains the modest outcome of this photo,

The light and the timing give a very interesting atmosphere on this street photo, Diego! The long shadows are really very very contemplating - almost unreal for the reality of a street.
But definitely you run out of sharpness and contrast - and I wonder why? The light would be perfect for an endless DoF of hyperfocus and also contrast, but that kind of haze over the image is quite disturbing. So why not getting that absolute sharp and rich in contrast?

very good decisiton to shoot on backlight here. this gives the impression of just awoken and seeing through the window while still asleep on a sunday morning- well, even if it is in the sunset sometimes on sundays one wakes up in late afternoons- especially after a long drinking saturday night ;)
