Such a wonderful moody image dearst Dave.! Very good shot, Toning is superb, and the colours so lovely..It's interesting house, makes me wonder what kind of life experiences the house has seen over the years.. Beautiful work..

Magnificent! I am back to mind the great places recounted in many fairy tales.

Thank you, Mervo. I did use a slight graduated curve layer up in the left hand corner just to add a touch of drama to an otherwise bland, gray post-sunset sky.

Best wishes,
Dave

Thanks, AJ... this one is not from mulitple images taken for HDR purposes, but rather a single image in very low light wherein I adjusted the exposures in two of the three tone mapped images.

You are right in a way, you do expect equal light with HDR though that is not always the case. At least that is what I have found. But much depends on the chosen settings you use in the tone mapping program. Once setting might allow certain areas to lighten while another setting changes the whole light play. Almost as if you are changing angles of studio lighting in a scene. If that makes sense.

Best wishes,
Dave

Thanks, Edward, I might have to agree with you, especially one it was re-sized for UF, seemed to come in a bit darker than what I was working on.

It's a great shot, Dave, but I'm confused by all this HDR malarkey - this looks like typical evening light in Tarifa!

I assume you've combined several images here - but in that case I'd perhaps expect the mountains behind to be as clear and bright as the building. Or have I got it all wrong?

Great shot Dave.

Wonderful colours and textures, and I know a storm is part of the personality of this image, but perhaps still a little too dark.

All the best,
Ed

Nice composition Dave, nice framing too and lovely warm colours. Not sure that the burned sky works so much in my opinion - overall, lovely job! 7/7 from moi!
