Thank you for your comment Dalila.

This is one of my favourite non-cheetah shots, cats always take priority.

All the best,

Thank you for your comment Jen.

Well by definition, I am an amateur as I don't profit from my photography, but of course there is always room for improvement.

All the ones in the "Safari Shots Too" portfolio are from my second trip. Each trip I was there for a little over 2.5 weeks and visited 7-8 parks.

All the best,
Ed

This is fantastic. YOu got some really great shots on your trips but this one might be my favourite. This one or the elephants from your first trip.

You say you'r still an amateur, I don't believe so:)
I think any shot can do better wether if you're a real pro or amateur, don't you think? I know like no other how
difficult it is to photograph wild animals, not being able
to go out of cars and big savannahs:) And I'm around Africa
for 30 years! They move and its mostly a matter of being fast with the right lense, yours are stunning, did you make
them all in one trip? I love this thorntree, amazing how they can eat these leaves around the thorns, xxJen

Thank you for your comment Cathy, but more importantly, thank you for your honest critique.

You are exactly right, before we interrupted, they were eating the leaves off this acacia tree.

All the best,
Ed

Beautiful composition of this wonderful animal Ed....Thge expression, focus, clarity, and placement within the frame are what I would call perfect but then I do love all of your work - Honestly :))

Take Care,
Michele~

Wow! I am fascinated by the bristly mane??? and the spikey plant. Is that giraffe fodder? CC
By the way the lighting on the face is excellent.
I see you want this critiqued...love the triangular composition, great unobtrusive background, you have handled the lighting and depth of field expertly. In my opinion, close to perfect, I would have liked to see a highlight in the eye. Well done. CC

Thank you for your comment Avi.

I originally had the Sigma APO 170-500mm F5-6.3 DG, but really didn't like it, so took it back and got the Sigma APO 50-500mm F4-6.3 EX DG HSM instead, and as you said, it is a great lens.

All the best,
Ed
