About Similar to VH-14 and also a triple exposure. I'd be glad to read any comments.

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment, Gustavo! It seems that you like the abstracts themselves much more than the guitars, I have the impression?

Anyway, I can only be grateful to the SBB (Swiss Railways) for chosing that red for the interiors of some trains! ;-)

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks a lot for the in depth going comment, 1301307! It reveals some things to me that I was not quite aware of when I was taking the multiple exposure photos. The pastel-like and rather washed out colors on many of them must have to do with insufficient exposure correction, something that I came to do more and more as the time was passing by. I have the impression that this kind of tendency is present on all these images but sometimes more and sometimes less.

The main idea I had in mind considering composition was to get the lines and stripes crossing each other in a non-regular manner, that is without too many parallel shapes, and at the same time to imagine how the resulting image could fit on the body of the stratocaster, the latter being the harder thing to do. At the start of the series most of the images turned out to be quite unusable for this purpose, but as the time was passing by the percentage of those that could be used for a photomontage was steadily raising. So, it seems that much of mind conditioning happens as one gets more and more exercise. I guess that if I would try now to do something similar for pasting it on the face of some other object, I would really have to re-condition my mind by exercizing again and again. But that's also the fun of studying such a subject.

Cheers and thanks a lot!

Nick

Between the two abstract in red, I prefer this one.. There are a lot of similarities in the element i see on both of them. I like the composition of the lines in VH-14 but the light on the upper left side seems strong in attracting the attention.
The warm color combination has a different mood from the pastels you've posted before..
Interesting how you compose this multi exposure abstracts..
wonderful abstracts...
regards...
