Thanks a lot for the info about that day, Eman! So you did grasped the offered chance and that was great!

I could really imagine that such an event gives somebody many good moments and opportunities for shots. Perhaps even the disappointed looks of the kiters could be good for some images, while they all try to make the kites fly. It can look quite humorous too on an image. ;-)

Cheers and all the best!

You are welcome to ask at any time Nick..
Well I'm afraid to tell you that it wasn't windy at all that day!!..they tried alot to make kites to catch up that high, it did for a certain little moment & that is!!!
You can see that it wasn't that interesting event for photography...that because we don't have that windy days in Egypt, unless in shores of course..

Thanks Nick again & take care my freind..

You are very welcome, Eman!

And I forgot to ask you, if I of course may, was that a very windy day? How much wind could such a dragon need for getting airborn? Interesting problem for physics, ey? What increases faster with increasing number of Kites? The weight or the lift? I'd say the lift, but you never know without working it out.

I've been on another kite festival and I was completely surprised to see what things they bring on the air! Even kites in the shape of a bath tube! (No joke!) Too bad I wasn't into photography at that time.

Cheers!

A good perspective and well balanced lighting, Eman! The sequence of kites makes a good impression as it waves in the wind. The bright colors in front of the sky add very much too.

What about a tighter crop (attachment) for turning the kites to absolute protagonists?

Don't be that tough to me Khaled :)
Wallahi I knew about this festival from the newspaper the night before that day 8 Feb.
So you see I have no time to inform you all!
Anyway it was just kites in the sky ;)
