About	"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." I John 3:18 A little different than the previous picture (which was about the power of words) – this one is more about an insignificance in our words because sometimes they’re just overused! I wonder what would happen though if the whole world could be silent for a day. Would husbands and wives still be able to convey their love to one another? Hmm, maybe. What about parents to children, what about friend to friend, co-worker to co-worker, or neighbor to neighbor? So many times I think “I love you” is used as a way to escape actually loving people.“I love you” is not all bad. Theirs is a time when it comes out when it is really from the heart and you can’t help but say it. But we need to be careful with this, really careful. Reminds me of what C.S. Lewis said: “Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say ‘infinitely’ when you mean ‘very’; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.” Maybe it’s an American thing, I don’t know. While living with a friend from England, she became stunned at the amounts of time Americans use the phrase “I love you” towards every person. It felt awkward to her, maybe because she realizes that love is such a huge thing, and she must use it only when she really means it. We use the same word to describe how we feel about our cheeseburger, and for the person that we bind ourselves to in marriage out of the deep passion burning inside us – so what does this mean? There has got to be a way of getting the love message out deeper, and that way’s got to be in the absence of words. But is that possible these days? This is a truth from God himself. It says in His word that we should not just love with words and in speech - let us not just talk, but really love in action and in truth. Do I really love in action and in truth? At least that was on my mind while I was putting this picture together, but I’m up for any other interpretation or whatever you think when you see this… after all you’re the one looking at it. Your title really brings out the message of your photo. Great speech economy! (a picture is worth a thousand words!)

As to poor speech economy, that's when someone uses three dollar words to put in their two cents worth!
