This one reminds me now of some of the words of Gustavo Scheverin. So I dedicate that to you, Gustavo, also as a hint towards digital arts made some centuries ago without computers ;-)
Anyway, the ceiling of that church in the cemetery reminded me of the plane of complex numbers. (and thus the title) Make a plot of some property on the complex plane and you will get such a symmetry. So, perhaps I'm doing arts with mind when I'm doing mathematics? ;-)
Thanks a lot for the nice comment and the idea, Linda! I attach the rotated image which did get more "regular" and "easier" to look at, indeed. Not absolutely symmetrich but much more symmetric than the original. I don't know why I didn't bother to rotate it before posting. I guess that I had the impression that too much had to be cut off then, but now I think that the rotation brought more than the cut off parts took away.
To tell you the truth, I was very enthusiatstic about this one at the start, but as the time passes by I find it less and less satisfactory. But still I can't really say what I missed to do right.
Thanks a lot for the in depth going comment and description of your ideas about digital arts, Gustavo!
This is exactly what I meant in the about box and in my previous messages to you. It seems that we have to rather say: "Digital *photographic* arts" in order to be more specific. Then we can distinguish better, I guess.
Good light and exposure Nick with great details but I just wonder why you didn't rotate it to get a more symmetrical composition/design? A nice dedication to our friend Gustavo...warm regards, Linda :) :)
