Wow, Darlene... you have so many "perfect" photographs...each one worthy of being showcased in a National Geographic magazine. The lighting and delicate subject is just magical! Your work is truly awesome. You have a new admirer! Thank you for sharing this in our community. 7/7

Beautifully sharp, Darlene, and I like the contrasting white of the bird with the warmth of the cypress. Anson

so long time since your last posting Darlene, how are you my friend ?

Hope every body is OK.

And about this capture... do I have to say that it's a real wonderful capture, so nice details, exposure, DOF, a so nice job Darlene, simply perfect, as always.

Say hello to Donat for us. Take care :)

Beautiful Darlene! Welcome back!
I guess my only suggestion might have been to try a vertical/portrait crop if the foreground allowed for it to include the entire reflection as well. The color of the bacground is reflected so well in the flat water it is a shame that the entire bird isn't portrayed in the reflection. That said, the color and composition as you have presented it is still beautiful! Well done!

Hi Darlene,
It's nice to see you back with a trademark waterfowl image. Quite a coincidence that I just posted some white waterfowl myself today :)
I'm not sure if it is all that important to have the entire reflection in the image as suggested by Alvin. It's possible that the reflected head might even distract attention from the main image.
What do I know anyway :) I did'nt include any heads at all with my Swans. :)

Darlene Great Shot, you got the egret's eye real sharp. I am not sure if I could come up with a shoot this good but.... To help this image it would have been nice if you zoom out a little bit to get the complete reflection of the egret. By missing the head a major part of the egret is missing. Not sure if this was possible. Anyway it a good shot.

Cheers Alvin
