By the way, Marian, my grad school housemate married a young Athenian, whose last name was Kokinos, a judge back in the 60s, probably deceased now. Anson

Wow, you are very brave then :-). Thank you for your advise, yes I was aware that bright daylight would give the best results, I have taken a few shots already, and love it already. I think this is almost like a drug, very addictive. Results are at times quite unexpected, which is why I love macro photography so much. I am sure I will be in touch as I start to get into IR photography. Thank you so much again

About 2 years ago, Daniel, the director of this botanical garden stepped on a 10 foot alligator just below where I took this picture and the gator bit his right arm off between the shoulder and the elbow. Good thing because he would have been drowned by the critter if it hadn't detached. You will have much fun with that filter, Daniel, one nice thing being, to complement your conventional landscape work which is probably done early or late in the day, IR works best at midday. If I can help you with anything just e-mail me at: hamoye@earthlink.net. Thanks for the kind words about this image, which I shot today. Regards. Anson

Well, Zeev, I thought we had lost you to some other more exciting interests, like tiger hunting or something. Welcome back to UF. I, for one, have missed your fantastic IR work for quite some time, and consider your comment more than a compliment. This was shot this morning at our local botanical garden. Perfectly sunny weather here, very good for IR. Regards. Anson
