About
This 1 is for my friend Paul,
Totally untouched except for resizing for this site of course. PS is for sissy's... ROTHFLMAO
My Light crew were her Grandparents, Frank and Sue, which know nothing about photography... ;)
Power was done by using a "Vagabon" DC to AC Inverter (Made by Alien Bee) with 1 Alien Bee B800 (320ws) strobe head, with 1 gold reflector... ;)
PS was not used, but simple lighting techniques were. No metering was done, except for eye balling the shot after on the screen using a Hoodman loupe. Then adjusting the light according to the desired effect wanted...
I strongly, and I mean strongly suggest purchasing a "Hoodman" HoodLoupe #H-LPP. Did I say Strongly? Awesome piece of equipment IMHO! Replaces the Sekonic outdoors anyways.
Thank you for stopping by,
Martin
PS. This was shot in the shade with no natural sunlight @ all... Kiss my butt Paul!
Sorry for not getting back sooner, but I think UF was down on the e-mail that day. I'm just up early this morning studying some lighting for my shoot next week and ran across this comment.
I don't know where I have been, but I don't think I got an e-mail regarding this critique. Just up early this morning studying lighting for my shoot next week.
I like your crop better, since I broke a rule and cropped at the elbow and all. I think somewhere in the middle would work for me.
Martin, This portrait is fantastic!! I love, love, love the lighting! What a difference in your portraits...I can't believe it. I added my own "touch" and I am attempting to attach it to this comment. I just recropped it closer and with horizontal perspective. Don't get me wrong, it is perfect the way it is...just wanted to see it in a different angle. ;) Great work ~Sheryl
As far as the eyes and head, that's what they wanted and I will not tell them that they can't have what they want. But I sort of like it, because it's differant... :0 ... Just like me ol' friend...
If I were paying them it might be another story, but I'm here to please the customer... ;)
another great portrait, but I prefect the other ones, maybe the head position or the eyes are too much on the side... Stil a real nice work, and a perfect lightning Martin, love the DOF too.
