About Walking in the park past this ball field I noticed the foul line passed right through the middle of first base.
I thought it strange and probably just a careless grounds keeper then I noticed it was the same in the adjacent field. When I looked closer instead of a single bag at first base there were two with the line passing between them. It was also true of the adjacent field. I have not seen this before, Perhaps some soft ball expert will explain it to me.
