It's very sweet of you to ask -- I'm having so many things converge at the same time, but they seem to be good things, so even when I knew I'd be tremendously busy with my move, I said yes to a special assignement -- and it's turned out rather well so far.

I'm going to post some architectural stuff tomorrow that you might be interested in (remember the log cabin -- this stuff has a similar interesting history). Thanks so much, Dave. I couldn't get as close to this guy as I did to the other one, so the resolution is not as good. But I like this shot better because of the variation in colors and the plumage.

Gkad you enjoyed your visit, Mitra. I work quite close to this area of DC -- and have for years. So my co-workers and I always complain about the traffic at cherry blossom time -- but the blossoms are really beautiful and we spend some time strolling under those trees every year.
I'll be looking for you next year!

Guess what? I even came to Maryland and I went to visit The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis! :) I love Maryland, D.C. and VA and whenever I leave D.C. I miss it a lot! I sure hope one of these days when I am there I get to see you. That would be awesome.

Thanks, Mitra. I see you were in DC at cherry blossom time. This image was taken right around the time you would have been there. I was at a conference for a week, and when I returned, the cherry blossoms were past their peak. Maybe I'll run into to your next year along the Tidal Basin.
