I don't really know how old this guy is. I was at a conference, and a couple of work friends and I ditched the conference for the afternoon and went to the wildlife refuge that was nearby.
BTW, I saw you heron photos -- which are just gorgeous. Thanks so much for your encouragement.

I took this one month and 19 days ago -- and so much has happened since (selling a house, buying a house, son graduated college, daughter finished freshman year in college, new job (special assignment) -- and that's not even everything. Glad you like this image. It reminds me of a more peaceful time (although all the energy right now is good energy).

Ah yes, my framing is something I need to work on, although his feet were underwater, I probably should have backed up a bit to show that. Doyle tells me the same thing, and I am starting to be more aware of it.

Great shot Maryanne - I like the colors here and the heron of course ...super quality ! -- the only thing I could think to make this any better might be to include the feet..I know it's not always possible to do but that's the only little nit picking thing I could think of to improve this - It's really a super shot !!
