About This is the bed of a stream somewhere underneath the Mt. Titlis range. I was just walking my way through it and the white stones impressed me so much. The stream bed is sometimes quite as you see here, and sometimes under water, according to what the guys do, who control the dam some hundreds of meters higher. So I had to ask first about their program of the day, and they were so kind to give me one of their walkie-talkies, with which I could tell them that I am no more in the stream bed for the usual security reasons. My deepest thanks for that!

Any comments would be very welcome.

OK, then have all the fun of the world, and post some of your images with flares. I'm waiting in excitement!

Cheers!

La verdad que no he probado contraluces que proboquen efectos de lentes y justo en estos días llueve por aquí y está nublado, pero lo intentaré a ver que sale.

Un abrazo!

Thanks a lot, Dave!

Under such a light the flares seem to me to be the silent witnesses. Something like that.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the very ecouraging comment, really, Gustavo!

Well, I have the impression that the flares of the lens can tell us about the "silence of light", as I already said, especially when we are somewhere into the wild and just look and listen. What we see and what we hear is perhaps not easily to translate, and then some flares may tell that better than anything else.

Cheers!

Nick

P.S.: Your equipement can surely generate better flares than mine. Perhaps you just allow them to be there?

Thanks a bunch, Kiarang!

As I already said, those flaes are to me the sign of the silence of light. I can only hope to be able to use them in a silent way.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Vandi!

Flares, for me, can be the best way to catch the silence of light. Much like an "anti-cosmos".

Cheers!

A nicely composed shot, Nick, and one of those times when the lens flare contributes to the atmosphere of the image.
