Poor tree! But....even as it is, it is useful! The photographers have a day taking shots of these artistic remains! The contrast of colours is most inviting!

But the damage of the tree brought a great subject for acaptue, Dave! Really such a nice find! The greenery, as it spreads to the depth in quite a good degree of detail, just looks as if it was exactly meant as a background for the damaged tree! The color combination is really vivid and very "alive". It radiates to me the colors of the forest, and quite in a fresh fashion that smells after spring, when the green is young. I think that the lighting enhanced that appearance very strongly!

Cheers!

Very nice, Dave! Different kind of woods and interesting parallel to the snag I posted! I find the contrast of greenery with the wood tones very pleasant!

Nice shot. that tree looks like it was about ready to go anyway. Last week driving just half a mile from my home I was made to turn around because the roof of a house was in the middle of the road following a bad thunderstorm. I would have liked to film it but the police would not let me stop

Good shot even... a bit shad... amazing how a so fat tree can be like that, the others looks fine! anyway the end of that big tree surely has the good thoughs too about the other plants that are around it... now they can have a bit more space and a bit more sun...
be well Dave!

Looks like you lost a guardian to this path. Nice ode to the loss of the old one. Be well, Stan
