About I assume that I'll never stop trying to capture the many different looks of that tower and the river. Anyway, another one of the series "The river Reuss by Lucerne" and this time I guess the water is the main thing. Still I wished for a better sky. Any comments would be very welcome.

Thank you very much Gustavo!

The sky is overexposed here, quite like the tops of some buildings in front of the sky at the distance. I must start using some gradient filters.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot Gary! I guess you are absolutely right. As long as there is no extra-super-HDR film I'll have to use some graduated neutral density filter. (But I must exercise that first since I don't have any experience at all with filters.) That's the problem that keeps returning to me. It's either the water or the sky but not both.

Thank you very very much!

Thanks a lot, Dave! Now, if I also had a nice intensively colored sky...

Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the nice detaield comment, Bobot! The sky was a bit washed out for my taste, though, so it's good to know that you find it OK.

Cheers!

Muy bonita, aquí no tengo nada que objetar, es una foto impecablemente ejecutada.
Felicitaciones!

I like the scene, Nick. A nicely balanced composition here. I am wondering, have you ever tried using a graduated Neutral Density filter? I think maybe that is really the only way to balance out the darker bottom with the lighter sky without resorting to HDR post processing. The sky has just a slightly washed out look to it, but isn't too bad. The split ND might just give added details to the clouds etc?... Cheers, Gary

I find the different architectural structures very interesting.. The reflections and the birds on the water is very fascinating.. That is a beautiful sky, what is essential here is the scene of the structures especially that one on the water and also the bridge across.
thanks for sharing Nick..
regards..
