I see what you mean, Aziz. I created the composition to make the leaves a frame for the flower. But they do steal some of the show! Eb

It is very beautiful of a valuable and rarely seen flower. In my eyes, the focus point is the green leaves not the yellow flower. Be well Aziz

Thanks, Riny! This appears to be the wild species which is native to this area of North America. So actually, the specimen is Nuphar polysepala. You were referring to the European species, lutea. Interesting, that we have claim to our own! Eb

Yes, Francisco, a polarizer was used! I had to under-expose somewhat to make sure the yellows retained detail - and further reduced the yellow luminosity in the editing process. Eb

Wonderful colours and detail. My camera always over saturates yellows and blows out the highlights; this is such a treat to watch. Excellent composition. Did you use a polariser filter?
Cheers!

Joggie, I wish I made an identification before posting! It is a wild specimen indiginous to the north west coastal areas of North America. Variously called Indian Pond Lily or Yellow Water Lily, or scientifically Nuphar polysepala of the Nymphaeaceae family. The seeds are edible. I will have more images to post of this plant. Eb
