Hi Debarshi, We rented a car and drove up from Santiago, which took close to 3-4hours i think. We stayed at Hosteria Lago del Toro in the park. Be warned that you need to fill up your car before going into the park as there is no place to gas-up once you are there. It is a strange thing. We ended up having to buy gas from a farmer for a lot of money to get out of there...haha...bring US$ everybody wants that it seems. Yes a week would be just enough and having a car would be the best to get the photos you want. There are buses but they don't stop where you would want to go plus you will want to shoot early in the morning or night when the buses don't run.

Excellent pano, Tim! Your usual wonderful colour, especially the glacier in the background. Dave.

Superb shot Tim. Now I think I must visit the Del Paine the next time im in Santiago for my office work. Do you think one week is enough for me to visit the Torres Del PAine National PArk from Chile ?

Lovely place and photo. I like the sharpness of this image- it enhances the colors of this landscape. Well done Tim.

Patagonia makes the rockies look sad...amazingly easy access and no people.....Really inexpensive for travel as well. The people there are really friendly too. Been there 3 times in the last 2 years and would go again with a drop of the hat.
