Sometimes we are binary thinking, Imagination in Black and White, Such like Yes or No, Open or Closed.
Who judges ?
Mondays must be variations of grey, Better even colorful, Never prisoners of thoughts, Today we keep the question open. Prisoners always prefer doors open.
The Courthouse in Batu Gajah was built in 1892 during the reign of Sultan Idris. Batu Gajah is a former colonial administration center 20km (12.4 mile) from Ipoh, the present capital of the Malaysian Sultanate of Perak. The main street is typical of Perak's tin-mining towns and rows of old Chinese shophouses. The town has slipped into obscurity and is now a sleepy little backwater although at the height of the tin boom it was more important than Ipoh, serving the British as their administrative headquarters in Perak. Supposedly, stone (batu) elephants (gajah) were once found here; hence the town's name. Apart from being the birthplace of the current Sultan, Batu Gajah's main claim to modern fame is a Zoo. The sultan’s full name is : Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Yussuf Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullahu-lah
Both are nice , as u say who judges?? :) there is a different mood in b&w version!! that is the point in arts actually , what u feel as u looked at!!! i like photography because let me see the earth from someone's eyes:) take good care my friend, arif
Dear Paul. The shot, its quality, and its mode of color is very good. A pity for its tilted frame and incomplete gate ! The title and your notes are wonderful. About the long name, as I can understand the meanings which are in arabic ( arabic is not my mother language !) , : Shah : is a persian word which means KING Azlan Muhibbuddin ( Aslan Muhibbuddin ) should be the name of the king, ibn : means son ibni : means son of Al - Marhum : is an adjective for passed away persons and means forgiven by god Sultan : means king in arabic Yussuf Izzuddin : name of the earlier king and father of Aslan M Ghafarullah lah : is a wish that god forgives his sins (again) .... So It's much more than a name ! Best regards Aziz
Hi Arif, thanks for your appreciation and comment. This morning I hesitated to post this pic in B&W or in color. At first glance for the mood it was better in B&W however a bright new day and week should start with some color. Also tilting or not was a choice. I did not because I found the front gate vertical line too much tilted by this process. To see both effects I attach the B&W and tilted version. But who decides, who judges ?? That all is left to the Court House. Let the question be open for today.
nice and interesting pov.! i really like it! it would be perfect without tilting to right. on the other hand that tilt changed the mood.. NICE POV! compliments my dear friend!! all my best, arif
