The blown out areas are easy to prevent in HDR, no worries. Despeite new infrastructure there are still so many challenges off road .....

Your series of photos from 25 years ago inspires me to look through my old albums. I too was travelling extensively at this time, although my camera skills were somewhat lacking.

I'm interested that you've chosen an HDR approach to the reprocessing of the originals. In this one, I find some of the closer rocks a little blown-out and wonder if this could not be addressed in the reprocessing.

The scene itself is wonderful and reminds me of many wild road journeys in the Middle East, many of which would probably not be nearly so spectacular these days due to the construction of new infrastructure.
