About Thrilling story in a peaceful landscape

An evening walk last Saturday in Cielle a tiny village close to La Roche in the Belgian Ardennes.
An experience using all senses. I climbed until reaching a hill top to enjoy a maximum of exposure to environment.
All what my eyes could see, all together what is called landscape such marvelous.
I observed details like a tree, a cloud and a cow. I looked at each with attention then returned to the landscape and back to focus on still details but different: trees, clouds and cows.
I hear the animals chewing, the wind is like an orchestra creating different tones in grasses and trees. Various smells are taken through my nose but fresh oxygen is dominant all the time.
What all of this would remain if making a picture here.
I am sure that only the visible of this moment, the little bit still illuminated could be captured and how would strongly depend on certain limits of my camera and on myself as knowing how to do … as the experience itself of enjoying the moment and in sharpening my senses was already superior over every type of partial capture.

I never carry more lenses than the single perfect Leica zoom as fixed on by bridge-camera,
No tripod as extra luggage would make my walking experience a burden.
Would like to have a little POV (at this marvelous point of view) but only strong back light and risking to capture only black silhouettes.
But where is the light to illuminate my cows ?
How could I ever capture both this blinding sky and a lack of light on everything else ?
Go for a compromise Paul. Hide the sun behind a tree.
Then sorry Lumix, I know that I have a large choice between 100 and 1600 ASA, but that more than 400 would really needed investing in a Canon or Nikon as I noticed high noise levels in all my previous tests for this bridge. Let’s however challenge this limit one more time and go for 800. We have to break rules to progress and blame neither a camera nor a poor photographer.
Let’s create a little DOF (as being really in a field :-) and take 1/500 as shutter priority to smooth at least the background hills if focusing on the cows. Not discussing any aperture because that should the maximum for this focal length to be computed by Panasonic electronics or not. I already went for shutter speed priority here, but because any measurement would be misleading through the strong back lights I selected 3 stops over exposure. Let’s try and click.

I saw the result later on my PC but now after that thrilling setting and the ultimate 1/500 moment I preferred to continue many more minutes enjoying personal exposure to time and place, forgetting about cameras and use all my own senses again at maximum.
It was really a great sunset experience as twilight was.

Lovely pastoral image. The light is lovely, with just a kiss of sun on the grass.
Thanks for commenting on my image "Photographer @ Play."

Thank you for sharing my story and pic dear Ania. It was a good idea to hide the sun indeed as in summer we mostly hide for the sun ourselves.
Thanks once more for showing up.
Big hug from Paul
