About Last month Summer came for three or four days and we took a little ferry boat to a nearby island. We got into the ocean for a quick swim, very quick indeed to prevent hypothermia (the water was about 13 degrees). Coming out I felt a little prick on my foot and as I was playing with my daughter Sofía, I didn't put much attention until a minute later. Imagine my surprise to see a creature on my foot! I thought it was a tick, however, it crawled and jumped into the sand. We captured it and as we were looking at its strange shape I took some pictures before it was released back into the sea, as compost! :-)

I couldn't determine what type of arthropod it was, it measured about 4mm in length and produced two holes on my foot from where it drank my blood, I could see its red full belly through its transparent body.

This argyrotype profile was compiled from a redder sample.

Enjoy!

Thanks dear Aziz for your nice comment and great eye ;-)

As a matter of fact, the peculiar focusing is due to the use of one of my toy lenses which has a very magnification and shallow DoF; the arc is due to the rounded surface, a white shell my daughter found on the beach. You can also see part of the lens vignette :-)

Thanks again and all the best!

F.

My dear Francisco
I wonder why focusing is on an arc zone! Seems the consequence of postwork. Am I right?
I like the mode.
regards
Aziz

Me gusta, tiene un toque extraño que llama la atención, los tonos también son muy especiales.

Bravo!
