the human of Mesopotamia invents the wheel, handwriting, alphabet, laws and writes the first complete law orders, domesticated dogs and sheep's,builds dams, grows wheats, found religions and faith, just before any one else,it is what others says, and that is when the lands is pure from rage, and hatred. We hope someday the souls and fleshes will be clean and peaceful again, thank you for your support, regards

Forgotten ? No way, it was important matter in history lessons at school, "Mesopotamia as base for our current civilisation" was said !
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesopotamia

I hope rain will clean Iraq and the sun will make it florish, the while region ad to much turmoil and war, it deserves peace.

it is now a wast land,a forgotten civilization,a land with no risen sun,and a winter night with no end, until we blessed by new dawn, the sun will shine again and the rain will wash our sins, until the we have a new talk,my regards

Hi Harry, this one from the Summer palace of the Imam in Wadi Dahr I have even in color for you..
It is a photograph from Bernd Kummer
It is even the front cover of the book YEMEN, 3000 years of art and civilisation in Arabia Felix.

A splendid book of nearly 500 pages, plenty of fantastic B&W and color photos.

groeten van Paul

Edited by Werner Daum, Published by Pinguin-Verlag, Innsbruck, Umschau-Verlag, Frankfurt/Main, Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam
I bought it during the special YEMEN exhibition Dec 1988-Summer 1989 in "het Tropenmuseum" = Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen.
