it was intentional Gary, I didn't think of Easter island at that time but your comment is very appropiate because I wanted some distance between the two scenes, and talking about inscrutable, the giant statues are a great example; btw the statues are always looking at the inland (one day I'll tell you the legend about why)
thanks again for your continuous support Gary
peace brother

Don't know whether this was intentional or unconscious, Txules, but she reminds me of a living version of the Easter Island statues the way she's looking out to sea. The other characters could be the tourists. Love the grainy effect too.
Regards, Gary

Yep! Such images always bring a scene of some good (hypothetical) theater play into my mind! It's exactly this: Relationships between the many different objects, persons, planes, etc, etc. The quintessence of composition in the very strict meaning of the word!

Any mere sequence of notes is already a melody. But a composition that conveys something is much more than that. It demands relationship of many different "melodies" to a whole that is more than the sum of the parts. That's then a subject of harmony in all its glory.

Cheers!

Nick

thanks Nick again, you are right I find very interesting those images in which there are several independent planes but with some relationship, in this three planes, the woman, the people on the bkg and of course the photographer, all of them in their own world but connect in some way
take care....txules

Perfect! Considering the composition with the strong sense for depth and distance it is one of the best composed images so far! Then the excellent details on the main subject make it very tangible, and the absence of a face make it also "silent" in a sense, or even "hidden". Much like... what is the real scene here? Is that one moment at the beach, as seen by the photographer? Or perhaps a scene in the mind of the main actor? The persons out of focus in the background could stand for both things! The darker ambiance supports this very well too, as do the implicit leading lines from her to the other persons in the background.

A great concept, perfectly brought onto an image! Should get at least A BIP!

Cheers!

Nick
