There are many images of this kind that try to look "abstract" and just look like "shoot something, anything", but you demonstrated *real* eye for the special situation, when a part of some scene is geometrically interesting, keeps all possible suggestive power, and at the same time contains an almost insane kind of contrast/contradiction against its own entity. We see clearly how little is needed for making a superb image that *deserves* the name "abstract". Because whatever it may convey, it conveys it with subtleness instead of the usual "dramatic-symbolic-overkill". This is one of the main differences, I guess!
There is so much contrast here, so many ways of contradiction! A Mondrian with a piece of 3-D realism, a bit of cubism, hues that are only strong, and above all: Absolutely no attempt to induce any "hidden meanings" the way too many think that surrealism works. This is real surrealism. The message, if any, was never sent and yet received. It exists only when one looks at the image! And it exists in the head of the one who looks, and it is each time something else and yet somehow the same.
He is drinking to you, kid!!!
