Hi Harry. I've ben yousing for my slides only my DIMAGE Scan Dual III AF-2840 MINOLTA for years,similar results.Scan to my computer after transfer to CD as backup,have thousands of them. But yours idea is good as well. Thanks for info, Have great weekend my friend, Stan.

Stan,
I use my D50 and 105 mm VR. Slide mounted on a lightbox. I make 5-6 exposures at different EV levels and treat it like it would be HDR. NO tone mapping. In fact it is a bot of stacking images to get all whats in the slide. Rest: PS with channel mixer clone tool etc. Harry
