Thanks Michele,this is a natural stance when the bird needs more warmth,opening up for the sun to strike it`s body!!It doesn`t happen very often though.

Hi Robbie ,

Awesome IR , it appears to add additional light to the image and the 'subject'-- the details of the bird - not sure if it is true or just an exceptionally clear image - but for some reason it seems brighter -
I am wondering if you are startling the bird or what for this stance - you must see much bird activity taking these great shots - maybe it's just another bird, animal, or sound - Regardless excellent shot my friend !
