About Two things about this one. First, when it came from the developer I had my problems to recognize what is up and what is down. (And thus the title.) The shape of the stairway was ideal for that little confusion. I wasn't aware of that while shooting and so I missed the opportunity to get some more shots and try other compositions, angels, etc.

And that's the reason for the second thing here. This is the more or less uncropped image. I tried many different crops, but I can't say what is unnecessary or what could be needed in addition. Any ideas for some variation for a better/stranger composition or cropping would be very very welcome.

Oh, it is more that I wasn't aware of any kind of "cleverness" of mine when I was shooting the series, Mohsen! Really, I just went for typical architecture shots and then.... some of the images looked like this.

On this one, I remember, it was rather simple to shot but when I saw the photo I was rather confused about where was up and where was down. So, I think that I had a big fat portion of good luck too. The simplicity that you refer to, I guess, is the result of the simple elegance of that particular architecture. There were only such clear lines in that building.

Still, even on this one, I wish I'd scanned it better.

Cheers and thanks a bunch!

I was not at all puzzled when I shot that, Saad! The strange thing is that I was puzzled when I saw the image!

Cheers!

not sure why I want to say "clever" when I'm on this series of images, and also, as I know you dont prefer, but I use "Classical power" again!
youre amazing in photographing architectural images. your composition is just creative, simple for sure, but quite unusual..
and your use of light, I just love it! superb my friend.
well done, and well seen.
clever eyes!
