Thanks so much Nicole. The background is just the murky canal water on an overcast day. It was nice the way it added a dramatic contrast to the purple flower. It's great to hear from you, hope you are well and getting some travel time.

Thanks for taking a look Michele. I've been so busy with unpacking and settling in my new house -- the only photos I took were of two young deer who appeared on my neighbors' front lawn one evening. My son and I tried to follow them through the neighborhood, and I must have been shooting while walking (or running) because the two shots I got both came out blurry. This one was on a cloudy afternoon, and the background is the water in the canal -- another lucky accident.
