Was one of my favorites by the Mac. The drum and guitar got me every time, Oh Well! Here is another version of the fan shoot, 1/8,f4.5,1600@28mm. The helicopter look.

Marty, I like the Fleetwood Mac quote, I was looking at the specs on the shot you showed me. I am taking it all in, only responded that was my choice for that one. I thought yours was right on. Glad that the file found you, think it was 4.8MB. Glad you liked it. He was very nice.
Be well, your humble student and friend, Stan

Stan,

Don't ask me what I think of you, because I might not give the answer, that you want me to...

Keep in mind the beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I only pulled this out of the archives to show you technical perfection and that's it. Not Art, not color, just text book stuff. Photo 101... ;)

I love the capture of Paul and thank you very much,

Marty

PS. I'm trying to be the teacher here... ROTFLMAO!

I think yours has the feeling of FTW camera commercial building. Great capture of the blades and rock on solid with the focus. I used this image for it's more abstract colors and shapes. The reflections of the lights off of the blade brackets gives it an extra dimension of colors. What do you think? I sent Paul's picture off to you this AM.

Dave, fun to share and allow them the responsibility to use and understand the value. He knows about the CF card, the card reader and the image program we look at and do slide shows of the images. He is learning the printer process as well. Hope he can take my limited knowledge and run with it as he grows.
Be well, Stan

Nice to see your starting him off young, Stan! I know my own grand daughter really likes using the camera, and who know what it may lead to!

I was playing with Kaden and we were laying on the bed and tried some fan shots. For a cheap lens it has a pretty good low range. Part of the ceiling texture even shows through the shadows and light rays. Waiting for the sloggi girls arrival. Might do a roof angle shot today. Have some POV's I looked at while working up there. The Promaster is aspherical with 15 elements in 13 groups. It is my starter lens. Got it for $125 on Ebay. Also have an older Canon film EF lens that is tight and right.
Be well my friend, when the sloggi's show up I'll let you know. Stan

Thanks Stan, trying slow shutter to get the movement blur. The label on the fan is actually visible. The light colored areas are the metal blade holders reflecting the light.

Great, I had one like these when I got back from the US travels. Was a dangerous household item because if I jumped I could be decapitated. Well, at least the fan would hit my cranial department.
Image is doing fine with your promaster ;-) Noise is not bad foor ISO 80 .Well, curious what we will see more, the roof, the bedroom and the sloggi girls for sure .....
be well, harry
